10.17 Interior Wood Surfaces Scratched or Scuffed

Acceptable Performance/Condition

When reported on the pre-delivery inspection (see Pre-Delivery Inspection), stained or painted interior wood surfaces, shall be free of scratches or scuffs when viewed from a normal viewing position of 2m (6’) under normal lighting conditions.

• 12 months In-Home
• 15 months Common Property

Claim Response

Wood surfaces not meeting the Acceptable Performance/Condition are to be rectified.

The repair shall be appropriate to the nature of the blemish. Where repairs are made, an exact match of colour, finish, grain, sheen or texture may not be possible.
